Firstly, a thank you to Lyma for organising this ‘blog’ it will be a great way to communicate now that I ‘ve become ‘blog literate’.
Secondly, I would just like to thank those who were able to come to our inaugural training session last Friday night. We had a very productive session specifically practicing for the next grading and also targeting some sword work in focusing on a strong, accurate kirioroshi.
Whilst it seemed strangely quiet for all of us who were used to the dooff , dooff, dooff , whirring of fans and other assorted cacophony that always attended our training at Macquarie Uni we all settled in pretty fast.
A belated welcome to Charles and a welcome also to Mark and Maesie who joined us for the first time last night.
We ended the night with hot Japanese green tea and Japanese treats which we will continue to do on the Friday night before the first Saturday of each month. I will post a calendar as soon as I get the dates from the council.
